Ugadi festival is the New Year festival for those people who are living in the states of Andhra Pradesh , Goa , Maharashtra and Karnataka , with the beginning of a new Hindu lunar calendar, chanted mantras and with the new year forecast . Ugadi festival also will be celebrated in Assam , Punjab, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. Ugadi / Yugadi name is derived from two Sanskrit words Yuga and adi , which means age ( Yuga ) and beginning ( adi ) respectively.The Ugadi festival comes on different days each year, the festival is based on the calendar of Lunar ( ie , the Indian calendar ), which consists of sixty (60) cyclic years and the festival falls on " Chaitra Shuddha Paadyami " .
On Ugadi the preparation of Ugadi Pachadi is the famous and traditional recipe which consists of six natural flavoured tastes sweet , bitter, sour , spicy, tang and salty which reflects the fact that the great human life is with the combination of all the happiness, sadness , anger , fear, surprise and disgust. And the Ugadi festival brings the every human with great start for a bright future.
